Many residences have trees growing in the garden or along the street nearby. Then when a storm comes these trees are often blown over onto the home causing a great deal of costly harm and in many cases injuring people. Often people plant trees not realizing how big they will become. And sometimes councils plant trees along the streets, but they become dangerous with age. The answer to tree problems can be supplied by contacting an arborist on the Central Coast or wherever you live. The trend for growing trees recently swung to native trees. People felt that if the trees they grew were part of the native flora then they would be healthier and cause fewer problems. This is only true with certain species. Unfortunately eucalypts are far too big for the average city block and will interfere with power lines and plumbing when they are mature – or before that. Another problem with many eucalypts is that they tend to drop branches unexpectedly, so they do not provide such a safe place for children to play as you might have thought. Even a small branch can actually kill someone when it drops from a height. In addition, many gum trees have roots that soak up the moisture from a wide area around them, making it almost impossible to keep the lawn green or the garden growing well. Once you have that tree in the yard, the council will often refuse to allow you to cut it down, even though you think it might be a hazard. In some cases you will have to get qualified advice from an arborist in Gosford or nearby to tell you how to care for that tree to make it safer. They can come and inspect your trees to ensure that there are no limbs that are in danger of falling. They can even remove limbs safely so that the tree no longer poses a hazard. If you notice that a tree near your home has developed a lean, especially during wet weather, it is important to call an arborist in Wyong of near to where you live to check whether it is in danger of falling over. Wet weather softens the soil and if the roots of the tree are not really strong, the top weight can easily make it fall. So for peace of mind, get all those tree checked. You can easily grow another tree, but if someone is badly injured due to it falling it can impact their whole life and yours.
