As adults we understand that theory cannot replace real life experience. Just because your child has a friend who has gained their provisional license does not mean that they fully comprehend what a major undertaking learning to drive is. Your child may resent the idea of having a driving instructor but the supervised lessons they attend will have a major effect on their understanding and experience when it comes to getting behind the wheel.

To find a suitable driving school, you should shop around for prices and ensure that the driving instructor you speak with are accredited, licensed and qualified to teach driving lessons. Ask questions and make notes about what their curriculum involves and in what manner do they approach driver education. It's important you feel some level of rapport and trust with them, after all this instructor will be guiding your child through the beginnings of their driving education.

Giving your child driving lessons is the most effective way to ensure this momentous occasion in their life is a safe and memorable one.
